International Graduate Student Experience Survey
As part of the mission to improve the international student experience, IGSAB conducts an annual spring survey of the international graduate student experience. This will help us better understand the needs of international graduate students, design and implement programming that will benefit students, and advocate for policy changes.
Background:
The inaugural IGSAB International Graduate Student Experience Survey was conducted spring 2022 to collect information about the international graduate student experience, and this annual exercise is repeated each spring quarter.
The survey was intended for current or former international graduate students at the University of Chicago. Here, international student was defined as:
International students on a University-sponsored student visa (F-1 or J-1)
International students on a visa sponsored externally (dependent visa classifications, employer-sponsored visas, and others—including Fulbright, etc.)
Undocumented students, DACAmented students, and others
